Proof you have to work the numbers to be successful in sales.
I am my own living proof that direct sales & network marketing is certainly about playing the numbers. I was listening to an audio the other day where a lady was telling a good friend of hers about the company she was involved with and the products she sells. No high pressure, just a mention and she moved on to talking about other things. Every now an then the two would meet up for coffee and again the conversation just came up in a brief mention.
Just a little over a year later the friend signed up with the company and sited it was just about the timing, she was ready and she went on to be one of the top producers.
This got me thinking about my own situation … I heard about SOC in March of 2008, but the timing wasn’t right. From that very first time I was introduced, I kept my eye open for people talking about the company, or would occasionally do research on the company. The sad part about this delay however, is I ended up searching for an upline sponsor because the person who originally talked to me about the company didn’t follow up, not even a simple call or email. This guy said he was going to send me a card so I could see the quality, the card never came.
The purpose of this article is to encourage to stick with it, don’t give in to what you see, there will come a time when your momentum will be built up strong enough that you won’t have to worry. Believe you me … I have to keep telling myself this everyday. One of the things that always kept me from success is looking around too often and not seeing the results I wanted (more like not seeing instant riches) I would get easily discouraged and when ever something that looked more promising came along I would jump to that new offer … [SQUIRREL]
As I have mentioned before, I look at this time as the time I am laying down a solid foundation for the success of my business. Especially since time is something I am trying to conquer, I am determined to stay the course and not be moved by what I don’t see.
Enjoy … Scott
